He is the Director of Maths Inspiration, a national programme of theatre-based lecture shows for older teenagers. He regularly appears on BBC radio commenting on Maths and Maths education. He is a former President of the Mathematical Association and has a degree in Engineering and Management Science from the University of Cambridge.
