Midlothian Council has launched a poetry competition for primary pupils in the county. Prizes include a visit to a factory to see what happens to materials collected for recycling and to find out more about what they can be turned into, a recycling goody bag and the chance for pupils to star in their own video reading their award-winning entry. The winning poem will also be printed in the council’s waste aware trailer which will be visiting gala days across the county this summer.
