Education Scotland would like to invite creative Glow Users to join us for a focused five day online networking event.
8th – 12th August 2011
5 days – 5 simple challenges
Creative Learning Networks – Creativity Portal Partners – Education Scotland
Is It Creative?
A five day online discussion around creativity and learning.
https://portal.glowscotland.org.uk/establishments/nationalsite/Creative%20Learning%20Scotland/Is%20It%20Creative/default.aspx
Using Glow, the Creativity Forum and Glow Meet we will engage in debate and discussion around creativity and its use in the classroom and community centre, its value and definition, and the opportunities and obstacles to sharing the agenda with our partners and colleagues in education.
There will be Glow Meets at specific times – especially for those who have never tried Glow Meet before or are slightly afraid – and CPD sessions on the Creativity Portal and associated Glow tools. Outside of these the Creativity Forum and Glow Meet will be available throughout the week for you to share and discuss whenever you have the time or something to say.
This is an ideal opportunity to:
Gain confidence and knowledge in Glow Meet.
Gain confidence in Glow Forum.
Network with national creative organisations and Creative Learning Networks – ‘face to face’.
Contribute to the ongoing national debate around creativity and learning.
Leave a valuable resource behind for teachers and educators to reference when thinking about the role of creativity in their work.
For anyone who is lucky enough to be on holiday that week you can always contribute to the Creativity Forum and Creativity Archive before or after the week.
Do let us know if you will be joining us at any point during the week – we would love to hear from you. You can introduce yourself on the Glow Group itself or email Stephen at stephen.bullock@educationscotland.gov.uk
