Wellshot Primary School

Gallery 2017/2018

Primary 7/6 had a great time meeting the author Peter Bunzl at the Mitchell Library. We are looking forward to sharing his first book Cogheart in class.

Primary 2 have been learning how to play classical musical instruments with the help and support of CREATE 4 East Baby Strings. They had a great time performing at the Buchanan Galleries.

The school played host to a very prestigious visitor when the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, visited the school to celebrate the schools participation in the Veloschools Project which encourages people to cycle to reduce their carbon footprint and help reduce climate change.

Primary 6 have been involved in Clyde in the Classroom.

P6 said goodbye to their brown trout who we have cared for over the last few weeks. It was sad but exciting to see them go. A big thanks to our scientist Pascal, who has helped us along the way with lots of interesting information, help and advice.

Primary 5/4 had a great morning at the Mitchell Library to celebrate the “Wee Write” festival. They had the pleasure of meeting an author Elizabeth Ezra who signed her book for their class.

The children also became authors of their own books and shared them with others. We may have a budding J.K.Rowling in our midst.

Some of our Primary 7 pupils had a fantastic weekend at Blairvadach Outdoor Centre. They had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities which required teamwork and courage. The children had a great time although at times they were tired and cold.

The children had a great time at the Halloween disco where there were lots of spooky goings on.
