{"id":123,"date":"2021-12-08T11:18:39","date_gmt":"2021-12-08T11:18:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/wecanbeheroes\/?p=123"},"modified":"2021-12-08T11:18:39","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T11:18:39","slug":"phase-2-workshops-complete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/wecanbeheroes\/2021\/12\/08\/phase-2-workshops-complete\/","title":{"rendered":"Phase 2 Workshops Complete!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our three writers came to St. Albert&#8217;s once again last week to run three workshops kicking off Phase 2 of our writing project.<\/p>\n<p>We are working with our pupils&#8217; parents this time (and their children!) to draw out some of the folklore and cultural themes that they feel are lacking in books available for their children.<\/p>\n<p>During the workshops, we talked about the partition of India and Pakistan, relatives who lived in front of the Taj Mahal, the challenges of marriage and family dynamics, immigration, depictions of beauty and female paradigms in fairytales.
