Toryglen Primary School & LCR is a non-denominational primary school, which is part of Kings Park learning community. Our Language and Communication Resource (LCR) is a specialist provision for 24 pupils, catering for Primary 1 – Primary 7 children from areas across the city.

Our school, situated in the Toryglen area of Glasgow was built in 1955. The school is a two storey building set within large grounds. The school is at the heart of a very close community with many parents and grandparents being former pupils of the school.

Our school consists of 14 classroom spaces. We have a range of facilities and learning spaces within the school including : a cooking room, sensory area, nurture room, two general teaching/support for learning classroom spaces, meeting room, newly refurbished library and various chill out and a dining room/gym hall with stage, which is used for lunch, school assemblies, PE and Drama. The school is set within large grounds, with great space for outdoor learning and play. Our school benefits from With Kids, a play therapy resource, who work with young people and parents.

At Toryglen Primary School we have recently updated our vision values and aims. We believe in working together to enable our children to “be the best they can be” by providing high quality learning and teaching throughout a broad and relevant curriculum.
