{"id":1861,"date":"2025-11-06T13:40:18","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T13:40:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/stvincentsprimary\/?page_id=1861"},"modified":"2026-09-04T13:37:57","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T13:37:57","slug":"school-improvement-plan","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/stvincentsprimary\/school-improvement-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"School Improvement Priorities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a school team, we are constantly evaluating our<br \/>\npractice and looking for ways we can further improve<br \/>\nand develop.\u00a0This year, our 3 improvement priorities continue to be:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Progress: Improve Attainment in Literacy, Numeracy &amp; PE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a consistent whole-school approach to writing.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce decodable reading books to build reading confidence and fluency.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen reading comprehension across the school.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce new Maths planners to support clear progression.<\/li>\n<li>Improve PE teaching to increase participation, enjoyment, progress and wellbeing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wellbeing: Develop a Whole-School Approach to Nurture<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a consistent nurturing approach that supports wellbeing, relationships and learning.<\/li>\n<li>Share a clear curriculum rationale that promotes an inclusive, supportive and nurturing school environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inclusion: Develop a Consistent Approach to Inclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continue to build on staff understanding of the needs of pupils with autism.<\/li>\n<li>By June 2027, ensure staff use agreed strategies consistently to support inclusion, participation and achievement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are proud to share our <em data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"882\">Standards and Quality Report 2026<\/em>, which highlights the achievements and progress at St Vincent\u2019s over the past year, celebrating the learning, faith, and hard work of our school community.
