What have you been learning about?
We have been learning:
Fractions and decimals (equivalent fractions and fractions on a number line).
How to infer.
How to write instructions.
How to create Agamographs.
How a recording studio works (Sky Academy).

What have you enjoyed in school this week?
This week we have enjoyed:
Art and design (Agamograpghs).
Visiting the Sky Academy and using the different equipment.
Unihoc games in P.E.
St David’s house trip to the cinema.

What have been your successes in school this week?
Our successes have been:
Creating a recording of a news report at Sky Academy.
Understanding fractions on a number line.
Unihoc in P.E.
Completing various competitions throughout the school.

We have enjoyed:

• Making thistles and other art work
• Learning our song for the Burns assembly
• ‘Smarties’ fractions
• Sumdog competition

We have been successful because we have learned the song for the Burns Assembly. We have a better understanding of fractions and summarising and some of our classmates have completed the Sumdog competition. We can also apply what we have learned about homophones to our own writing.

• We have been learning about biodiversity.
• We have been learning about action verbs, it lets you know what a person or something is doing.
• We have been learning our times tables in maths.

What have you enjoyed in school this week?

• P5 enjoyed making prints in art.
• P5 enjoyed learning about Stephen Brown, he is an abstract artist.
• P5 enjoyed making a Victorian toy called a thaumatrope, it creates an optical illusion.

What have been your successes in school this week?

• P5 have been developing their maths skills by learning to use column addition.
• P5 have come to the end of their topic on the Victorians, they have enjoyed learning all about Queen Victoria and the school life of Victorian children.

• Making prints in art.
• Learning about Stephen Brown, he is an abstract artist.
• Making a Victorian toy called a thaumatrope, it creates an optical illusion.

P5 have been developing their maths skills by learning to use column addition.

The children have  come to the end of their topic on the Victorians, they have enjoyed learning all about Queen Victoria and the school life of Victorian children.
