Primary 1c have settled well in to school life. We have been learning how to hold a pencil properly, and this has helped us when learning our new sounds a, t, s, and new numbers 0,1,2.
We have also been looking at nursery rhymes, and even created an active story of Mary had a little lamb.
This week we will be looking at Creation, look out for our art display for our class altar on this.
We can’t wait to do more fantastic work in our fantastic school.
Primary 1b have settled well into Primary School life. New friends have been made both in the classroom and out in the playground too. A big ” thank you” must go to our P7 Buddies who have been been working hard to make all our new Primary Ones feel welcome and safe since starting. Keep up the good work Buddies!
A lot of learning has already been happening! Primary 1b have been busy learning about the sounds “a” and “t” and about the numbers 0 and 1. We have also had our first PE lesson with Mrs Boyle and, in addition, we spent time in the ICT suite. All of the Primary One classes also received glowing compliments on their great behaviour at the first school Mass of the school year!
Finally a big “Well Done” to P1b for doing so well this past week and a half! Let’s keep learning!:-)
Hello everyone, a great start for all our new primary ones.
We have had such a busy time and have made lots of new friends already. We are very good at following class rules and understand that we need to keep safe in school.
This week we learned about writing a and s as well as 0 and 1.
We went to the gym with Mrs Boyle and we had outdoor learning fun on the playground equipment on Friday.
Primary 4b (b being for brilliant : ) )
Have enjoyed being back at school and learning about citizenship. We have learned about Health and safety, Division and in P.E. we have started learning about tennis. In R.E we discussed how God created us in his image and we are made up of a mind, body and soul. In Art we created our own personal minions and also typed up our descriptions that we wrote during our writing lesson on Microsoft Word.
Next week we are excited about starting football training.
We hope all the pupils, parents and staff have had a wonderful summer.
A great big welcome to our new Primary 1 pupils and the best of luck this year to all returning pupils.
It’s going to be a fantastic year.
