P3’s-Glasgow Bus Tour

Primary 3’s have been learning about Glasgow as their class topic. The classes had the opportunity to take a trip on the Glasgow Bus Tour and visit the Riverside museum. They got to see lots of Glasgow sights and famous landmarks as well as building on their knowledge and understanding of the city of Glasgow. The children, parents and staff had a great morning.

Our Learning P5/4

This week in Literacy we have been reading the text Harry Potter and have identified interesting vocabulary. In our writing we created a recount using a digital clip from a scene in Harry Potter.

In Numeracy we have been learning about symmetry and fractions. We have enjoyed creating symmetrical pictures and calculating and comparing different fractions.

Some of the children were lucky to attend a football tournament and enjoyed the competitive experience.

The P5’s had a fantastic day taking part in the Great Scottish Run. They received medals for their enthusiasm and participation.

P5/4 really enjoyed using the iPads to help them develop their skills of using fractions.

This week the pupils have been successful at learning fractions by using a messy fraction approach. This helped them to become more confident at using fractions to calculate.

The pupils enjoyed their sensory Autumn walk. They used this stimulus to help them with their writing.
