Enrolment<\/h2>\n

Your child will normally transfer from Primary School to Secondary School at Primary 7 stage between the ages of 11 \u00bd and 12 \u00bd.<\/p>\n

Enrolment request<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This will help you make a Placing Request to St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School for your young person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are in the catchment area<\/strong> but currently attend a local non-denominational<\/strong> school, this is treated as Placing Request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your young person currently attends another denominational school out-with the catchment area<\/strong>, you need to make a Placing Request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make a Placing Request to St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary via the Glasgow City website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overseas enrolment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This will help you to enrol your child in a Glasgow City Council Secondary School<\/strong>. We will get in touch shortly to invite you to come in to school for an enrolment meeting. You will need to bring the following documents with you to the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • If you are a British National Returning to the UK<\/strong>: your passport, your child\u2019s birth certificate and proof of your address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • If you are an Irish National<\/strong>: your passport, your child\u2019s passport, your child\u2019s birth certificate and proof of your address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • If you are a Hong Kong Resident Moving to the UK<\/strong>: your passport, your child\u2019s passport, your child\u2019s birth certificate, your British Nationals Overseas Visa (BMO) and proof of your address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • For all other nationals entering the UK<\/strong> (including family members without UK or Irish Citizenship): your passport, your child\u2019s passport, your child\u2019s birth certificate, your reason for being in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \u274c If you are in the UK on a 6-month Standard Visitor visa<\/strong>, or an 11-month Short-term Study (English language)<\/strong>, we are unable to enrol<\/strong> your child as a pupil at a state-funded school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u274c Photocopies of documents are not acceptable<\/strong> – only original documents<\/strong> are acceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u274c No enrolment can take place until your child is resident in the city.<\/strong> When attending an appointment at school, you must take your child with you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please be aware that entry to the UK is a decision for the UK Government. It is the parent’s responsibility to check if they have a right to reside in the UK before applying for a school place.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
