The&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.togetherscotland.org.uk\/about-childrens-rights\/monitoring-the-uncrc\/incorporation-of-the-un-convention-on-the-rights-of-the-child\/\" target=\"_blank\">UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill<\/a>&nbsp;will fully enter into force six months after Royal Assent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also other&nbsp;laws that protect or promote children\u2019s rights, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.togetherscotland.org.uk\/about-childrens-rights\/human-rights-bodies-amp-reporting\/human-rights-act\/\" target=\"_blank\">Human Rights Act 1998&nbsp;<\/a>protects the human rights of people of all ages, including children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.togetherscotland.org.uk\/about-childrens-rights\/monitoring-the-uncrc\/children-and-young-people-scotland-act-2014\/\" target=\"_blank\">Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014<\/a>&nbsp;places duties on Scottish Ministers and public bodies to report on what they are doing to further children\u2019s rights.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div data-wp-interactive=\"core\/file\" class=\"wp-block-file\"><object data-wp-bind--hidden=\"!state.hasPdfPreview\" hidden class=\"wp-block-file__embed\" data=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/stpatricksprimaryglasgow\/uploads\/sites\/11091\/2023\/09\/14102149\/Convention-on-the-Rights-of-the-Child_-The-Childrens-version-1.pdf\" type=\"application\/pdf\" style=\"width:100%;height:600px\" aria-label=\"Embed of Convention-on-the-Rights-of-the-Child_-The-Childrens-version-1.\"><\/object><a id=\"wp-block-file--media-5b5b88d8-6fa6-4344-93cd-ad8aa9a5e83f\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/stpatricksprimaryglasgow\/uploads\/sites\/11091\/2023\/09\/14102149\/Convention-on-the-Rights-of-the-Child_-The-Childrens-version-1.pdf\">Convention-on-the-Rights-of-the-Child_-The-Childrens-version-1<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/stpatricksprimaryglasgow\/uploads\/sites\/11091\/2023\/09\/14102149\/Convention-on-the-Rights-of-the-Child_-The-Childrens-version-1.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button wp-element-button\" download aria-describedby=\"wp-block-file--media-5b5b88d8-6fa6-4344-93cd-ad8aa9a5e83f\">Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practice<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Real change for children and young people can only happen when adults listen to them and act on what is heard.
