Further Guidance – Please Note…
We are delighted to be welcoming our children back this week, and are keen to make sure everyone is safe and able to feel comfortable in our school!
In light of this and government guidelines, we would ask our parents to:
-Please contact our school office to arrange a telephone appointment should you require it as we are not able to accept parents within the school building until further notice. Please ensure you remain outside the building too during drop off and collection.
-If your child develops the symptoms of COVID-19, in line with national guidance, it is advised that they remain at home and your GP or doctor is contacted.
Thank you for your support in helping to maintain our school as a safe place!

Please do complete a Free School Meal Application for your child if you think you may be eligible, even if they are already in receipt of a free meal as per national entitlement.

Welcome Back!
We are so exited to be welcoming our children back to St. Mungo’s! We have missed you all very much and have been working hard to ensure our school is ready for you to return safely.
All parents should have received a text message by now with the following information:
We are delighted to be welcoming our children back shortly!
To support a phased return and smooth transition for everyone, we invite all children to attend School for 2 days next week, on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th August only (Primary 1 9.15 – 12.15pm both days).
Updated Government guidance advises that we can then re-open full time for all children from Monday 17th August.
Risk Assessments and Safety measures are in place and will be available for you to view on our website shortly!
If you have not received this message, it would be important that you provide our school office with up to date contact information if this has changed, especially your email address and mobile contact number.

Dear Parents,
I wrote to you at the beginning of this month to update you on what our plans were as we move out of the global pandemic lockdown phasing and promised that I would keep you informed of any developments.
Once again I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all that you have done to help support your child’s learning – I know that this has not been an easy task under such a challenging set of circumstances.
Wednesday 24 June is the last day of our school term and I welcome and support the news today by the Deputy First Minister John Swinney who’s announced that if spread of the virus continues to be suppressed and that the data and scientific evidence supports it, our schools can be back full time at the start of the new term in August.
This has been what we have been hoping and striving for and do not want our children and young people to be away from the classroom and their teachers for any longer than was necessary.
However, please let me reassure you that our school planning for a blended learning model and social distancing measures are ready if we don’t go straight to full time learning in August.
Each school will have communicated their plans of the arrangements in place to their families by now – this is essential work as part of our contingency plans.
The risk assessments and health and safety measures for all of our schools will remain focussed on the key elements that will helps us all reduce the risk of the spread of the virus.
This will include regular hand washing, additional cleaning of the school building and observing the current government guidance for schools and nurseries.
Our schools and nurseries will remain in contact with their parents over the summer holidays with any updates and information that they need to share ahead of the beginning of the new term.
Thank you once again for your support during these difficult and challenging few months and hope you have a lovely summer.

Clothing Grants
If you received a grant last year you do not need to apply this year, we will pay you automatically in early July. You must however let us know now if your circumstances have changed such as your bank details or address. Visit our website atwww.glasgow.gov.uk/schoolsandlearning to complete an online enquiry form.
If you are a new applicant, forms will be available on our website mid-July, once the automatic payments have been made.
For S5 or S6 pupils (aged 16+), grants are paid after pupils have returned to school.
