This week, we have been chatting about the change in seasons.<\/p>\n

What happens in Autumn?\u00a0 The leaves change colour to a beautiful brown, yellow, red or orange colour and fall off the trees .<\/p>\n

We also discussed the ways in which animals gather food for the winter months ahead and looked at horse chestnuts and acorns.<\/p>\n

We collected leaves from our school grounds and then looked at a book to tell us which trees they belong to.\u00a0 Did you know, our school has\u00a04 different types of trees in its grounds?\u00a0 We have birch, beech, ash and field maple trees!<\/p>\n

When we got back to the Rainbow Room, we printed with our leaves.\u00a0 We chose some autumn coloured paints and painted the side of the leaves that had veins on them.\u00a0 We pressed the painted side down hard onto our paper and gave it a magic rub.\u00a0 When we peeled the leaves off the paper, there was a beautiful print of the leaves underneath.<\/p>\n
