At St Francis\u2019, we believe pupils should not only learn about their rights. They should have meaningful opportunities to use their voice, share their ideas and help shape school life.<\/h3>\n

That is where our Rights Ambassadors come in!<\/p>\n

\u2b50 Meet Our Rights Ambassadors<\/h3>\n

Every class at St Francis\u2019 has its own Rights Ambassador<\/strong>, ensuring that pupil voice is represented from across our school.<\/p>\n

Our ambassadors listen to the views and ideas of their classmates, bring these to our meetings and help share important messages about children\u2019s rights throughout the school.<\/p>\n

They have an exciting and important part to play as we continue our journey towards Gold.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcac Thursdays Are Ambassador Days!<\/h2>\n

Every Thursday, our Rights Ambassadors come together to talk, listen, share, plan and take action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our meetings give ambassadors the opportunity to bring forward ideas from their classes, explore children\u2019s rights and discuss what we can do to make rights even more visible and meaningful across St Francis\u2019.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, our Thursday meetings are a place where pupil ideas can become action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our Rights Ambassadors create an important link between their class and the wider school.<\/p>\n

Pupils share their views and ideas with their class ambassador.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors bring these ideas to our Thursday meetings.<\/p>\n

Together, we listen to different viewpoints, discuss ideas and decide what we can do next.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors return to their classes to share what has been discussed and gather more pupil views.<\/p>\n

And then the conversation continues!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Article 12: Respect for Children\u2019s Views<\/h3>\n

Every child has the right to express their views on matters that affect them and for those views to be taken seriously.<\/p>\n

Article 12 is at the heart of the work of our Rights Ambassadors.<\/p>\n

Pupils have regular opportunities to share their views, contribute ideas and take part in discussions about our Rights Respecting journey. Our ambassadors listen to their classmates, bring their views to our Thursday meetings and report back to their classes.<\/p>\n

This helps pupils see that their views are valued and can make a difference.<\/p>\n

The work of our Rights Ambassadors brings other children\u2019s rights to life too.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcac Article 13: Freedom of Expression<\/h3>\n

Our pupils have the right to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions. Rights Ambassadors help create opportunities for these ideas to be heard and shared across our school.<\/p>\n

\ud83e\udd1d Article 15: Joining Groups<\/h3>\n

Children have the right to meet with others and join groups. Every Thursday, our Rights Ambassadors come together to share ideas, listen to one another and work towards positive change.<\/p>\n

\u2b50 Rights Working Together<\/h3>\n

Through having a voice, expressing their ideas and coming together with others, our pupils are learning that rights are not simply something we talk about. They are something we experience and put into action at St Francis\u2019.<\/p>\n

Our Rights Ambassadors are just getting started!<\/p>\n

As we continue our journey towards Gold, this page will grow with them. We will share photographs from our Thursday meetings, pupil ideas and reflections, projects led by our ambassadors and examples of the difference pupil voice is making across our school.<\/p>\n

Pupil voice is about much more than asking children what they think. It is about listening, valuing their contributions and creating meaningful opportunities for their ideas to influence what happens next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As our Rights Ambassadors grow in confidence and knowledge, they will continue to help make children’s rights visible, understood and lived across St Francis\u2019.<\/p>\n

Every class has a voice. Every voice matters. Together, we are moving towards Gold.<\/strong> \u2b50<\/p>\n
