Rights in action, every day<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

Across St Francis\u2019, our classrooms are full of rights! Each class has worked together to create its own Class Charter, bringing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) to life in a way that is meaningful to our pupils.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Through discussion, sharing ideas and making decisions together,\u00a0 pupils explored the rights that matter to them and considered what respecting these rights looks like in their classroom every day.<\/p>\n

Going for Gold in Primary 4\/3<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A lovely example of pupil ownership: Primary 4\/3 independently included \u201cGoing for Gold\u201d<\/strong> in their class charter, making a clear connection between our whole-school vision and the values they want to live by every day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pupil voice is at the heart of every Class Charter.<\/p>\n

Our pupils played an important part in choosing the rights represented in their charter and discussing how everyone can take rights-respecting actions. Every class has created something that reflects its pupils, their ideas and their shared commitment to making their classroom a place where everyone feels safe, respected, included and listened to.<\/p>\n
