What is a myacount?<\/p>\n
myaccount<\/strong>\u00a0gives you the ability to set up an online account using a single user name and password to access a range of online public services including some Glasgow City Council services.<\/p>\n \u00a0Read more about myaccount<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Glasgow City Council Information is found on<\/p>\n If you wish to enrol your child for the start of the new school session in August 2026, they must have attained the age of 5 years between 1 March 2026 and the 28 February 2027.<\/p>\n Parents\/carers of those children due to commence attendance at school in August 2026 should register their children for the appropriate local primary school during the week commencing Monday 3 to Friday 7 November 2025. To register you should complete an online application and submit no later than Friday 7 November 2025.<\/p>\n It is usual practice for children to attend their local catchment primary school.<\/p>\n If you live in the Glasgow City boundary you must register your child for P1 at one of your catchment schools.\u00a0 You have a choice schools:-<\/p>\n If you are unfamiliar with schools within your catchment area, please use our\u00a0School catchment lookup.<\/a><\/p>\n Parents who may wish to consider enrolling their child in\u00a0Gaelic Medium Education\u00a0<\/strong>should visit\u00a0this page<\/a> for more information on this.<\/p>\n Parents\/carers must register their child in their local school but have the choice to request their child be enrolled in another school out with their area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Parents\/carers living out with the St. Brendan’s catchment area and wishing to enrol their child here must register in a school in their own residential area and then apply for a placing request to this school. The registering school will issue them with the appropriate application form. The Education Authority will notify parents\/carers of the outcome of placing requests in due course once the registrations are complete.<\/p>\n Prior notification of registration will be given in :<\/p>\n \u2022 the press<\/p>\n \u2022 all locals nurseries<\/p>\n \u2022 Saint Brendan’s Church<\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>Newsletter issued by the school.<\/span><\/p>\n Transition Arrangements<\/strong><\/p>\n A transition programme is in place to help support pupils transferring from nursery to primary. Visits to and from nursery ensure that the transition is effective and supportive, P.7 buddies are allocated to the new P.1 pupils and support the pupils in their early days of P.1.<\/p>\n It is important that our children feel happy and secure in our school. We want them to know their teachers and their new friends before starting Primary 1. We want to form a partnership with the parents from the time of enrolment. We will arrange a series of come and play afternoons and 2 half day visits for pupils and parents in May\/June, before the children start Primary 1 in August.<\/p>\n All important information is transferred from Nursery\/other establishments as part of our transition programme.<\/p>\n Parents wishing to enrol their older child\/children in the school are advised to telephone the\u00a0 school office for advise, either by calling personally at the school or by telephoning 0141 952 1222 to make suitable arrangements to discuss relevant details<\/span>.
