Transition to Secondary

Information sessions, in person and online, take place throughout the pupils Primary 7 session.

Pupils normally have a two or three day visit to the secondary school they will attend in May or June of their final year.

Secondary school staff  also come and visit pupils in their primary establishment and get to know them through learning and teaching activities.

Enhanced transition for identified pupils can take place as early as P6 and includes extra visits, group activity programmes in the secondary school and parental meetings with key staff.
