The inspiration and power of the arts play a vital role in enabling our children and young people to enhance their creative talent and develop their artistic skills. Experiences in the expressive arts involve creating and presenting and are practical and experiential. Evaluating and appreciating are used to enhance enjoyment and develop knowledge and understanding.

Art and Design, Dance, Drama and Music are all components of our Expressive Arts programme.

Through learning in expressive arts your child will:

  • Recognize and nurture personal creativity and aesthetic talents
  • Experience the inspiration and power of the arts
  • find out about and express their feelings and emotions and those of others
  • discover and develop their personal, social and cultural identity
  • learn to recognise and value their culture locally, nationally and globally
  • Learning will be enhance and enrich through partnerships with professional arts companies, creative adults and cultural organisations.
