Having Trouble Getting Online?
If your iPad isn’t connecting to the internet and you’re seeing proxy errors, don’t worry — here’s a quick checklist to help you get back on track.
Step 1: Close all your apps and any open Safari tabs.
Step 2: Power your iPad off completely, then turn it back on.
Step 3: Open Safari and try to visit http://www.google.com
Step 4: You should see a Proxy Authentication box pop up.
Pupils need to enter their ADS ( Scottish Candidate Number) username and our school password which class teachers have a copy of in Forward plan folders.
Staff need to enter the login they use on school computers and their own password to bypass the proxy message.
Tip: Sometimes it takes a few tries — keep entering your details if it doesn’t work the first time. It might take up to ten attempts before your iPad accepts them.
