We have been learning about openers, the words which start a sentence. It is important to use lots of different openers in your writing so it is not boring.
We picked different openers that were on doors and wrote some great sentences!
We learned about the celebration Hanukkah which is celebrate by Jews in December. They celebrate by lighting a special candle called a menorah and eat latkes and foods cooked in oil.
As part of our learning about the Jewish celebration Hanukkah we made dreidels. They are wooden spinning tops that Jewish children often play with when celebrating the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah.
After we made our dreidels we played a game with them!
We have also been putting together our Christmas Fair items for Friday.
Along with all this hard work we have been rehearsing our class assembly performances daily ready for today. Our assembly is sounding fantastic and we hope to see you all there this afternoon cheering us on 🙂
