Well we all survived the first night but I think some of us may be in bed earlier than others this evening!

See below some photos to prove they are all alive and awake!

Also I have attached some pictures of the excellent tidying up. Two children from each table are responsible for tidying up after every meal and one group sets up all the tables for breakfast. All are doing great so there are no excuses for them not helping you out more when they return home. I have the proof!

Every evening the children will work on their portfolio which is a record of their day. Before that some of them got pretty active in their free time. I wonder if that will continue throughout the week…  

We glimpsed these runners from another group looking for their orienteering posts.

All is calm and the pictures have finally uploaded from my camera.

These are from the group doing climbing today. As you can see the children were helping each other out constantly throughout the whole activity. They even managed to get Mr Kenny down safely! Just so you know: the height of the tree climb is 25metres!

Well done everyone.

The children were put in groups of six or seven with an instructor. These are their groups for the week. From what the teachers saw for themselves today and heard from the instructors they have started off very well working together.

Well we all arrived safe and sound to a very warm reception.

The children are all happy with their accommodation although I think the girls got the best deal!

Welcome talks and a fire drill are completed and the children were quickly ready for their first activity.

There will be loads of pictures going up during the evening so have a look later this evening.

We are all counting down the days and hoping the weather is going to be good to us. So far so good.
