Parents

Welcome to Scotstoun Primary School Parent Council!
The Parent Council exists to represent all parents and carers of children at the school (known as the Parent Forum) in matters pertaining to their children’s education. We have an open and friendly Parent Council here at Scotstoun Primary School – our responsibilities are guided by the Parental Involvement Act 2006 and include:
  • Supporting the School to raise standards of education and the development of each pupil to their full potential;
  • Promoting contact between parents, pupils and the community;
  • Seeking feedback from parents; and
  • Fundraising, which at Scotstoun Primary is done in a fundraising group (“the PTA”, Parent Teacher Association).
The Parent Council meets around six times per year, with an Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Parent Forum. Details of previous and upcoming meetings can be found on our website.
If there is anything you would like to contact us about, or would like us to look into, please get in touch at scotsounprimarypc@gmail.com.
Alternatively drop a note into the school office and ask for it to be passed on to us.
