In these contexts, our pupils are encouraged to develop their personal language skills. BGE corresponds with government guidelines which set out what students should be able to do in relation to literacy and English skills. Learning in the senior phase builds on what has been achieved in the BGE, giving students an opportunity to broaden their learning and further develop their skills. Students are expected to take on greater ownership of their own learning in the senior phase, including organising their study time and managing deadlines.
