Come and see what we have been learning.
There has been lots of sunny weather for the past few weeks. The children have been enjoying playing and learning in the nursery garden. They have been practising their cycling skills.
They have been practising climbing and balancing.
They have been also been developing friendships.
On Thursday 3rd April we celebrated Easter. We had an egg hunt in the nursery garden. The children had lots of fun finding eggs which had been hidden. The children made up goody bags to take home.
We celebrated Eid on Wednesday 2nd April. We had a party, with lovely food, games and dancing. We all had lots of fun.
On Tuesday and Wednesday we had a visit from some music students from the Royal Scottish Conservatoire.
Spring is here at last. Some flowers are growing in the nursery garden. We have been watering the plants in the garden and in the nursery to help them grow. We have been planting potatoes and sunflower seeds to help us learn about the different parts of plants and what plants need to grow.
Some of the children made fruit salad. They chopped up the fruit, then added some orange juice. They mixed it all, and then scooped it into cups to enjoy at home.
The weather is getting better, so the children have been enjoying some keep fit and exercise in the garden.
We love building in Renfrew Street Nursery. The Construction Space is always busy!
Some of the children had fun building a hospital. All the people worked at the front, and there was a car park at the back. They then added roads.
Some children used the magnetic construction bricks and the wooden blocks to make fabulous models.
We had fun building in the garden too.
We have been experimenting with slime this week. We made our own slime-it is really stretchy!
We love using the magnetic construction to make buildings.
We have had fun in the water, learning about floating and sinking. We love the ducks!
We are independent at snack time. We can choose what we want to eat, pour our own milk or water, and clear away our dirty dishes.
On 29th January we celebrated Chinese New Year. It is the Year of the Snake. The children tried some Chinese food and learned how to use chopsticks. They had fun wearing the lion costume and doing the lion dance.They all had fun dancing at our party and having lovely things to eat.
