This week, we have been very busy with our learning!<\/p>\n
In literacy, we worked on writing a recount about our favourite memory from primary school. This helped us to reflect on all the wonderful experiences we have had and also gave us the chance to rehearse parts of our leavers’ assembly.<\/p>\n
In maths, we continued developing our data handling skills. We interpreted information from bar graphs and line graphs and explored different sets of data to find the mean, median, mode and range. We used our mathematical thinking to answer questions and explain what the data showed.<\/p>\n
As part of our Rights Respecting Schools work, we linked our learning to our World Cup topic. We created origami-style football tops and chose a UNCRC right that was important to us. We then designed a slogan to promote that right. Our finished football tops looked fantastic and showed great creativity and understanding of children’s rights.<\/p>\n
As we continue preparing for our leavers’ assembly, we would be grateful if children could practise their scripts at home whenever possible. Even a few minutes of practice can help build confidence and ensure everyone is ready for the big day!<\/p>\n
