We have had another busy and enjoyable week in class!<\/p>\n

In maths, we have been learning the multiplication box method<\/strong>, and the children are developing a really secure understanding of this strategy. For literacy, we focused on the \u2018oo\u2019 phoneme<\/strong> in spelling and worked hard to spot and use it in our reading and writing. We thoroughly enjoyed welcoming parents into the classroom on Thursday<\/strong> to see our learning \u2013 thank you so much for coming along and sharing this with us.<\/p>\n

The class also watched the P6 Burns Showcase rehearsal<\/strong>, which inspired lots of great discussion. We have planned a response writing task<\/strong> linked to this and are really looking forward to writing these next week.<\/p>\n

In art, we painted our clay model Loch Ness Monsters<\/strong>, as well as creating some beautiful Nessie landscape paintings<\/strong>. The results were fantastic and full of creativity.<\/p>\n

Finally, we have been learning all about Robert Burns<\/strong> ahead of Burns Night, exploring his life and looking closely at the language features<\/strong> in some of his most famous poems.<\/p>\n
