We also got to pick a scene from our book and create a comic strip of pictures. We also consolidated our spelling this week, we had lots of words which we practiced like always. We continued to work on our dictionary skills, and this week Mr Milligan got us to put words in alphabetical order.

We have started a new unit in mathematics, date handling. This week we have been looking at graphs and how to plot a bar graph successfully. We have also been continuing our work on symmetry and this week looked at grid references and how these can help us to create a symmetrical shape. We have also been using Sumdog in our maths this week, completing our diagnostic to make sure our questions are at the correct level.

In the playroom we were set a challenge to create 3D snowflakes using doily paper. This was quite a challenge, however, we all had fun! We also had a role play station where we had to act out certain characters and perform. Finally, we used the Knex to design and build a mini-Santa sleigh.

We are all excited for the last week of term!

We have been continuing our writing on character description; this week we decided to describe Miss Trunchbull from our class novel Matilda.
