This week we have had lots of fun in and out of the classroom. We are all very excited about valentines day! we made valentines day cards today using pink and red paper.
In literacy, we wrote our final piece of persuasive writing. We were trying to persuade our school to ban school uniforms. We had a great discussion on why this would be good for our class. During this lesson we got help from Mrs McKeown.
In numeracy, we have continued with our topic on fractions. This week we looked at halves, quarters, fifths, tenths, thirds and sixths. We had great fun looking at equivalent fractions and using our concrete materials to make fractions. Mrs Cattley came in to help us with our learning which was such fun!
We started our new IDL topic on the Rainforest. We learnt about the layers of the rainforest and what animals life at each part. We then drew a diagram and made dioramas using paper paper. we are going yo use these in the playroom to make a stop motion film! We also did gymnastics in PE and worked on partner balances which we became really good at.
We are all looking forward to our long weekend and have had a chat about all of our different plans! Hope you all have a great weekend, see you on Thursday.
