This week in P2\/1, we focused on number recognition, specifically numbers 0\u201310.
\nThe children practised identifying each number and worked on correct number formation.<\/p>\n
In literacy, we learned two new sounds: \u2018d\u2019 and \u2018e\u2019, and the children engaged in a variety of activities to reinforce their learning. We also introduced new tricky words, which the children enjoyed learning. These have been sent home and should be practised daily to help support the transition from reading to writing.<\/p>\n
We also introduced our reading books, which have been sent home. Pupils have enjoyed taking part in reading groups and reading aloud with confidence and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n
To conclude our Journeys\u2019 topic, the children enjoyed taking a journey through space, using their imagination and creativity to explore beyond our world. It was a fun and engaging way to wrap up our learning.<\/p>\n
