What a fantastic week of learning for P2/1!
This week, we enjoyed learning more about money in maths. We practised using coins in real life situations through role play in our class shop and are now confident at recognising coins and matching them to their value.
In literacy, we are working on building sentences using our core targets, such as capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. We also enjoyed learning about Scots language through poetry, including A Dug, A Dug by Billy Keyes and The Gruffalo’s Wain.
We loved welcoming our parents into the classroom, where we showed them how we use our magnetic boards to build confidence with blending words. We hope you all enjoyed our open afternoon and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
We finished our Scotland topic by learning about the island where Katie Morag lives and comparing it to our city of Glasgow.
