What a fantastic end to Term One in P1B! \ud83c\udf1f<\/p>\n

This week, we have been learning our new sounds \u2018<\/strong>c\u2019 and \u2018k\u2019<\/strong>, and we have even been introduced to the phoneme \u2018ck\u2019. We have been working hard to recognise and use these sounds in our reading and writing.<\/p>\n

As part of our topic work, we have been exploring fairy-tale stories and are growing in confidence when identifying the beginning, middle and end of a story. We have enjoyed listening to and discussing different fairy tales and developing our understanding of story structure.<\/p>\n

In Numeracy, we have continued to develop our understanding of symmetry and lines of symmetry. We have used a range of art activities and concrete materials to explore how shapes and patterns can be symmetrical, helping us to recognise and create our own symmetrical designs.<\/p>\n

In the Playroom, we have loved our Enchanted Forest topic! \ud83c\udf32\u2728 We have explored fairy-tale stories and had lots of fun role-playing using puppets, bringing our favourite characters and stories to life.<\/p>\n

Well done, P1B, on a fantastic first term! We are so proud of all the learning, confidence and enthusiasm you have shown.<\/p>\n
