Primary 1 have had another exciting week of learning, with a big focus on robots! The children explored the different features robots can have and talked about the ways they help people in everyday life. To understand why robots are useful for repetitive or tricky jobs, the class even tried carrying out repeated tasks themselves. This helped them realise how time-consuming and tiring some jobs can be and why robots are often used for tasks that could become uncomfortable or unsafe for humans. <\/p>\n
In maths, the children have been learning about halves and quarters. They worked carefully to recognise that fractions must be split into equal parts. Through practical activities and discussions, the class also discovered that when something is shared among more people, each person receives a smaller amount. This sparked some thoughtful conversations and helped the children make links to real-life situations.<\/p>\n
During literacy, we continued reading the wonderful story One Button Benny. The children used their imaginations brilliantly while predicting what might happen when Benny pressed the mysterious button. Some children thought he might save the world from aliens, while others imagined him flying through the sky or gaining exciting robot powers like electricity and flamethrowers!<\/p>\n
It has been another fantastic week in Primary 1, filled with creativity, curiosity and lots of enthusiastic learning. We are all looking forward to another fun week ahead!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
