Primary 1b have had another busy and enjoyable week in class, with lots of engaging learning taking place across the curriculum.<\/p>\n
In Literacy, we consolidated some of the digraph sounds we have been learning in recent weeks, helping to build confidence in recognising and using them in reading and writing. The children also created a fantastic piece of writing describing a beach setting, using their senses to imagine what they might see, hear, smell, taste and feel. There were some wonderful descriptive ideas shared!<\/p>\n
In Maths, we explored using a number line to support addition, helping us to develop our counting strategies. We also continued working on place value, building our understanding of numbers and how they are made.<\/p>\n
In our playroom, the children have been learning about Easter and spring through a variety of fun and interactive activities and stations. This has encouraged creativity, curiosity and discussion as they explored seasonal changes and celebrations.<\/p>\n
We also took time to learn about Eid, helping us to understand and appreciate different cultures and traditions. The children showed great interest and respect during these discussions.<\/p>\n
With the lovely weather, we enjoyed spending time outdoors in the playground, making the most of the sunshine while developing our social skills and staying active.<\/p>\n
