What a spooktacular<\/em> week it has been in Primary 1A! We\u2019ve been busy learning and having lots of fun along the way.<\/p>\n

In literacy, we learned new sounds and practised reading some tricky words. We\u2019ve also been blending simple CVC words and using adjectives<\/em> to describe different characters \u2014 our witches and monsters were certainly interesting (and sometimes a little scary!).<\/p>\n

In maths and numeracy, we\u2019ve been working hard to make more complicated repeating patterns and learning how to add two numbers together to find the total.<\/p>\n

As part of our health and wellbeing learning, we talked about what makes us feel angry and explored different strategies to help us calm down before we react. Everyone shared brilliant ideas on how to manage big emotions.<\/p>\n

Of course, it wouldn\u2019t be Halloween without some extra fun! We had a fantastic time at the Halloween disco with lots of fabulous costumes \u2014 superheroes, dancers, and more! We even made our own paper pumpkins to decorate our classroom.<\/p>\n

What a frightfully fun week it has been!
