This week, Primary 1 have been busy exploring the wonderful world of robots! The children loved learning about different robot features and discussing how robots can help make our lives easier. They even tried out some repetitive tasks themselves to understand why robots are often used for jobs that are boring, take a long time or could even hurt your fingers if you had to do them repeatedly. There were lots of giggles as they moved around like robots and plenty of new appreciation for the work robots do!<\/p>\n
In maths, we have been investigating halves and quarters. The class worked hard to understand that these fractions must be equal parts. They also made a big discovery: the more people you share something with, the smaller your share becomes! This led to some great discussions (and a few thoughtful faces!) as they explored real-life sharing scenarios.<\/p>\n
In literacy, we have been reading the brilliant book One Button Benny. The children made predictions about what might happen when Benny\u2019s mysterious button was pressed. Their imaginations didn\u2019t disappoint\u2014ideas ranged from saving the world from aliens, to zooming through the sky, to even borrowing amazing robot features from other characters like blowing bubbles or growing super-long arms!<\/p>\n
Another fantastic and successful week in Primary 1, full of creativity, curiosity, and plenty of learning. We can\u2019t wait to see what next week brings!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
