Discussing language features such as bold font and introductions.\u00a0 Completing a variety of close reading tasks to demonstrate understanding and use evidence to support.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Identifying and creating literal, inferential and evaluative questions. In Writing, P5a are focussing on Procedural texts, like recipes and instructions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For Numeracy P5a are developing our multiplication and division skills.\u00a0 We will explore and order decimal numbers and make links to fractions and percentages.\u00a0 We will examine profit, loss and budgets.\u00a0 In time, we will explore the concept of durations and how speed and distance link with time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our topic this term will be an Enterprise topic, drawing on our Persuasive Writing from last term and making links to maths through budgeting and profit and loss.\u00a0 In health we will first look at Healthy Eating and Food Groups then investigate the 8 indicators of the SHANARRI wheel (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Included).\u00a0 We will also participate in Internet Investigators workshops to build digital resilience.<\/p>\n<p>We will continue to receive music tuition from Baby Strings which we are really enjoying.\u00a0 We will also learn some Scottish Country Dances later in the term.\u00a0 Our Drama lessons will continue and we will create art related to seasonal celebrations and festivals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>PE Days<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p>P5B will have PE on Mondays and Fridays.<\/p>\n<p>Remember appropriate clothing for these days and remove jewellery.<\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>Home Learning Help\/Websites<\/u><\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sumdog.com\">www.sumdog.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.timestables.co.uk\">www.timestables.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\">www.topmarks.co.uk<\/a> (Hit the Button, Daily 10)<\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Primary 5b with Mrs Page Summary of Learning \u00a0 In Reading this term we are focussing on:\u00a0 Using layout and context with increasing automaticity to support development of meaning, understanding and comprehension.
