Summary of Learning Term 4<\/u><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our IDL topic this term is the Commonwealth Games. We will explore the history and evolution of the Games and investigate the different Commonwealth Countries and sports involved in the modern day games.\u00a0 We will explore themes of sportsmanship, inclusivity and health alongside this.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n PE Days<\/u><\/p>\n P5a will have PE on Thursday (outside) and Friday (inside).<\/p>\n Remember appropriate clothing for these days and remove jewellery.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Home Learning Help\/Websites<\/u><\/p>\n\n\n
\n In Reading this term we are focussing on: Identifying \u00a0the purpose of a text with suitable explanation.\u00a0 .\u00a0 Making relevant comments about features of language, for example, vocabulary, sentence structure and punctuation.\u00a0 Distinguishing between fact and opinion with appropriate explanation.\u00a0 Discuss character, setting and story form fiction texts and compare to other texts.\u00a0 We will aim to recognise and use an increasing range of presentational features of fiction texts.\u00a0 In Writing, P5a are focussing on Character and Setting<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n \n\n
\n For Numeracy P5a are investigating ways of collecting, organising and displaying data accurately in a variety of ways.\u00a0 We will also analyse, interpret and draw conclusions from data.\u00a0 We will Identify multiples and factors of whole numbers.\u00a0 We will also explore and uses a rule to extend well known number sequences including square numbers.\u00a0 We will make a start on solving simple algebraic equations with one variable.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
