On\u00a0<b>19th November 2025<\/b>, we delivered a\u00a0<b>city-wide event for S4\u2013S6 pupils<\/b>, marking our second schools competition. This became the\u00a0<b>largest secondary school functional fitness event to date<\/b>, with\u00a0<b>280 pupils<\/b>\u00a0taking part.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">We were fortunate to have support from a wide range of partners, including:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Nathaniel Collins<\/b>, WBC Silver Featherweight Champion \u2013 meeting pupils and delivering boxing sessions<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Graham Halliday<\/b>, Elite 15 Hyrox athlete<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Scott Brown<\/b>, SBF world record holder for the double West Highland Way and ultra-runner<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Ceejay Cooks Preps<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Team Nightmare<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Caz Nicoll Fitness<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Train With Anna<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Fly Gym Glasgow<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Factory Weights<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Gauntlet Fitness Race<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Dexter McKeating<\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Soul Suites Glasgow Recovery Zone<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">In preparation for the event, we coordinated an\u00a0<b>8\u201310-week training block<\/b>\u00a0following the summer break. Local gyms across the city were contacted, many of which were keen to collaborate with schools. Some provided staff to deliver sessions in school, while others offered space within their own facilities. These partnerships were organised on a school-by-school basis, supported by a number of teachers some were already involved in functional fitness and Hyrox.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">We also delivered a\u00a0<b>CPD session for teaching staff<\/b>\u00a0focused on functional fitness and Hyrox-style delivery.
