From this wider group, parents and carers come together to form our Parent Council.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"747\">Our Parent Council works in partnership with the school to support our children, represent the views of families and help make OLA the best it can be.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"760dsz\" data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"784\">What Does Our Parent Council Do?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"872\">Our Parent Council provides an important parent voice within our school community.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"1064\">Members work closely with the school to discuss and contribute to areas of school life and improvement, while also organising fundraising events and activities for our children and families.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1123\">Over the years, Parent Council fundraising has helped to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1408\">\n<li data-section-id=\"x5lbv9\" data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1179\">enhance our digital learning and maths resources<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"o3ebq7\" data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1241\">subsidise school trips and outdoor learning experiences<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"wg28k1\" data-start=\"1242\" data-end=\"1281\">purchase playground picnic tables<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1tmock0\" data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1341\">support improvements and repairs to outdoor equipment<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1n8ej2s\" data-start=\"1342\" data-end=\"1408\">contribute towards interactive technology for our classrooms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1515\">We are very grateful for the time, ideas and support our Parent Council gives to our school and children.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"v5qkgm\" data-start=\"1517\" data-end=\"1532\"><strong>Get Involved<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1534\" data-end=\"1624\">We would love to see parents and carers from across our school community getting involved.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1626\" data-end=\"1789\">Being part of the Parent Council is a great opportunity to meet other families, share your ideas, have your voice heard and play an active part in school life.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1791\" data-end=\"1958\">You don&#8217;t need to take on an official role to get involved. Parents and carers are welcome to attend meetings and support activities and events whenever they are able.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1960\" data-end=\"2032\"><strong data-start=\"1960\" data-end=\"2032\">Every parent voice matters, and new members are always very welcome.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"18r4bog\" data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2055\"><strong>Our Parent Council<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2057\" data-end=\"2186\"><strong data-start=\"2057\" data-end=\"2073\">Chairperson:<\/strong> David McIlmoyle<br data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2092\" \/><strong data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2113\">Vice-Chairperson:<\/strong> Laura Zemella<br data-start=\"2127\" data-end=\"2130\" \/><strong data-start=\"2130\" data-end=\"2144\">Secretary:<\/strong> <em data-start=\"2145\" data-end=\"2154\">Vacancy<\/em><br data-start=\"2154\" data-end=\"2157\" \/><strong data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2171\">Treasurer:<\/strong> Jenny Campbell<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2333\">Interested in joining or finding out more?
