It calls us to recognise that everything is connected and that we all share a responsibility to care for our common home, care for one another and work towards a more just and sustainable world.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"963\">As a Catholic school, Laudato Si\u2019 is an important part of our faith, learning and everyday school life. Our children are encouraged not only to learn about the challenges facing our world, but also to recognise the difference they can make through their choices and actions.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"i7vqwu\" data-start=\"965\" data-end=\"1011\">What Does Being a Laudato Si\u2019 School Mean?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1278\">Being a Laudato Si\u2019 School means putting our faith into action. Throughout their time at Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, our children are given opportunities to learn, pray, reflect and take action in response to the needs of people and our planet.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1349\">Our Laudato Si\u2019 journey is guided by the Seven Laudato Si\u2019 Goals:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1351\" data-end=\"1614\">\ud83c\udf0d Response to the Cry of the Earth<br data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1393\" \/>\ud83e\udd32 Response to the Cry of the Poor<br data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1434\" \/>\u267b\ufe0f Ecological Economics<br data-start=\"1461\" data-end=\"1464\" \/>\ud83c\udf31 Adoption of Sustainable Lifestyles<br data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"1508\" \/>\ud83d\udcda Ecological Education<br data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1538\" \/>\ud83d\ude4f Ecological Spirituality<br data-start=\"1568\" data-end=\"1571\" \/>\ud83e\udd1d Community Resilience and Empowerment<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1616\" data-end=\"1822\">These goals remind us that caring for creation is about much more than protecting the environment. It is also about faith, dignity, justice, compassion and recognising our responsibility to one another.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"7qdm0q\" data-start=\"1824\" data-end=\"1849\">Laudato Si\u2019 in Action<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"2010\">At Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, we aim to make Laudato Si\u2019 something that our children experience and live, rather than simply learn about.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2012\" data-end=\"2062\">Across our school, children have opportunities to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2064\" data-end=\"2715\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1cic0m\" data-start=\"2064\" data-end=\"2108\">\ud83c\udf31 learn about and care for God\u2019s creation<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ralw4e\" data-start=\"2109\" data-end=\"2180\">\ud83d\ude4f pray and reflect on our responsibility to care for our common home<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"110ca2y\" data-start=\"2181\" data-end=\"2222\">\ud83c\udf0d celebrate the Season of Creation<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1x7rvss\" data-start=\"2223\" data-end=\"2311\">\u267b\ufe0f take practical action to reduce waste, reuse resources and care for our environment<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"113wxhm\" data-start=\"2312\" data-end=\"2411\">\ud83d\udca7 explore important global issues such as climate change, water, biodiversity and sustainability<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1oqra9f\" data-start=\"2412\" data-end=\"2485\">\ud83e\udd1d learn about social justice and our responsibility to care for others<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1semhuj\" data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2566\">\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f take an active role through pupil leadership and environmental initiatives<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1pawhkx\" data-start=\"2567\" data-end=\"2630\">\ud83c\udf3f develop and care for our school grounds and outdoor spaces<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"y7476z\" data-start=\"2631\" data-end=\"2715\">\ud83d\udc9a understand that the choices we make can have an impact on people and our planet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"qumj3g\" data-start=\"2717\" data-end=\"2742\">Our Journey Continues<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2744\" data-end=\"2945\">Our work as a Laudato Si\u2019 School is an ongoing journey.
