Julia Mazur
Role:
Teacher (Nurture Teacher and Acting PT)
About Me:
I began my teaching journey at NDPS in 2021 as a class teacher.
Currently, I am the nurture teacher, working with many children across the school to support their wellbeing and development, and I also share an Acting PT role with Mrs Rutherford. I work in the nurture room called The Den, which is one of our safe and calm spaces within the school. I enjoy promoting nurture approaches across the school and supporting inclusive practice so that every child feels valued, supported, and able to succeed.
Hobbies & Interests:
I love climbing Munros and have completed quite a few so far, though there are still plenty to go as there are 282 in total! One of the Munros I absolutely loved climbing was Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro in Scotland. I would also highly recommend visiting Sandwood Bay, a remote beach on the far north west coast of Scotland in Sutherland. The pink sand and beautiful scenery make it one of the most special places I have ever been to.
Favourite Subject to Teach:
I particularly enjoy teaching mindfulness and promoting a growth mindset, helping children build confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes towards learning.
Fun Fact:
I love skateboarding and was pretty good at it when I was younger.
