About the author

Donald Feist is currently Principal Teacher and Digital Leader of Learning in Mosspark Primary School, Glasgow.  In this role, Donald has responsibility for raising attainment in Digital Literacy and STEM subjects across the school; including staff development and training.  Donald was also one of the 2017-18 STEMGlasgow primary leaders, and has worked with numerous teachers across Glasgow to develop effective teaching through STEM and tackle gender bias within these subjects in schools.  Furthermore, Donald has achieved recognition as an #MIEExpert and Apple Teacher.

Prior to moving to Mosspark Primary, Donald was ICT coordinator and Digital Leader of Learning in Elmvale Primary School, Glasgow.

In addition to his work in school, Donald has presented at numerous teach meets and events, including Holyrood Events’ Learning Through Technology Conference, and has delivered CPD events in his school and in establishments across Glasgow.  Furthermore, in 2018 Donald presented a Live Stream for Twinkl Scotland on ‘The Digital Revolution’, and has also worked with student teachers at Strathclyde University.

In addition to developing digital education in school, Donald is music director of National Youth Choir of Scotland’s East Dunbartonshire Boys Choir and a keen photographer.
