During term time\u00a0we offer an After School Service (3.00pm-6.00pm) based in Mount Florida Primary School.<\/p>\n
During school holiday times – with the exception of the Christmas\/New\u00a0Year period – we provide all day childcare from 7.45am-6.00pm.\u00a0 (This is subject to\u00a0demand).<\/p>\n
We currently do not run on Bank Holidays or on Teachers’ Inservice\u00a0days but can arrange provision with partner organisations.<\/p>\n
Since 2011 we have been offering a ‘pick up service’ from Battlefield Primary After School Care during term time.<\/p>\n
Staff members are vetted under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG\u00a0Scheme) and are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.<\/p>\n
The Manager\/Lead Practitioner is required to hold either a BA in Childcare\/PDA\u00a0Childcare Practice or other SSSC approved\u00a0degree – with additional management credits – and\u00a0all childcare staff must hold or obtain relevant qualifications in childcare and undertake post registration training and learning (PRTL)\u00a0throughout their employment.<\/p>\n
The Service is registered with the Care Inspectorate\u00a0(Social Care Social Work Improvement in Scotland) and currently we hold a Grade\u00a05 award.\u00a0 We also have a Level 3 Quality Assurance Award with Aiming High Scotland.<\/p>\n
As members of\u00a0the Glasgow Childcare Partnership Forum\u00a0(South East Area) and the\u00a0Scottish Out of School Care Network (SOSCN), we are able to\u00a0keep up to date with current and new legislation\/requirements for the childcare sector.<\/p>\n
