We focussed specifically on HGIOS QI 3.1- <strong><em>Ensuring Wellbeing, Equality and Inclusion.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is made up of three main strands:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>Fulfilment of Statutory Duties<\/li>\n<li>Inclusion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The HGIOS framework states that the best way to fully evaluate work is in three ways: Collecting quantitative data, gathering peoples\u2019 views, and by direct observation.<\/p>\n<p>To gather information we:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Identified the hard data which already existed including attendance statistics, record of exclusions, attainment etc.<\/li>\n<li>Captured people\u2019s views by developing questionnaires for staff, pupils and parents to evaluate their understanding of the support available in school, their opinions on the support and of their own wellbeing.<\/li>\n<li>Arranged a programme of classroom observations to ensure guidance on strategies for supporting pupils was being used and was effectively meeting learner\u2019s needs.<\/li>\n<li>Gathered records of meetings, pupil\u2019s reviews and CPD opportunities staff had participated in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HGIOS@Lourdes Our approach to Self-Evaluation is grounded in HGIOS 4: How Good Is Our School? a National Framework designed to structure Scottish Schools\u2019 approaches to evaluating and improving.
