Reporting ABSENCES<\/h5>\n

Good attendance at school is integral to success and we are committed to ensuring that all
pupils receive an education that gives them opportunities to achieve their full potential.<\/p>\n

Attendance at school is essential for this as it helps young people build positive relationships
with peers and teachers, which fosters a supportive learning environment.<\/p>\n

We understand there are times when your young person may not be able to attend school for
various reasons. We have a legal responsibility to maintain accurate records of the pupil
attendance and would therefore ask that you get in touch with us in one of the following ways
whenever they are going to be absent from school:<\/p>\n

1. Contact the Glasgow City Council absence reporting line on 0141 287 0039<\/strong>
2. Contact the LCHS school office on 0141 582 0170<\/strong>
3. Message the school phones:
Pupils in Arran and Mull: 07468 351 166<\/strong>
Pupils in Islay and Skye: 07500 572 375<\/strong>
6. Email your young person’s pastoral care teacher (details are in Pupil Support<\/strong> section below).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Each young person is allocated a Principal Teacher of Pastoral Care depending on their assigned house group. This member of staff is the first point of contact for all parents and carers wishing to discuss any aspect of their young person’s education. The Pastoral Care teachers know each pupil in their house group really well and are always happy to hear from parents\/ carers.<\/p>\n
