Pupils must pass these units to gain an overall award:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<div class=\"s65\"><span class=\"s23\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s24\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Understanding Business<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s65\"><span class=\"s23\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s24\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Marketing and Operations<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s65\"><span class=\"s23\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s24\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">People and Finance<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s3\">\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s35\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Higher Business Management<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s24\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Entry Requirements <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<div class=\"s65\"><span class=\"s23\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">National 5 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">pass in Business Management<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">The Study of Business Management will focus on the analysis of key functional areas of businesses.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">The course content has 3 units:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<div class=\"s65\"><span class=\"s23\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Understanding Business<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s65\"><span class=\"s23\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Management of People and Finance<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s65\"><span class=\"s23\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Management of Marketing and Operations<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s70\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Business Management offers opportunities for individuals to develop crucial skills and knowledge which allow them to access, understand and contribute to the dynamic and complex business and information environment. \u00a0Whatever the career pathway or progression route, Business Management enhances individual effectiveness.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s35\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Assessment<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">The course has internal assessments which must be passed to gain an overall award. \u00a0Pupils\u2019 final grade will be determined by a combination of a Business Management externally assessed question paper and a business-related assignment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s35\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Progression<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s64\">\n<p class=\"s64\"><span class=\"s25\"><span class=\"bumpedFont20\">Future career paths could include; Business Analyst, Financial Accountant, Marketing Executive, Human Resources, Financial Advisor, Civil Servant, Entrepreneur, Systems Analyst, and Economist.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The study of Business is designed for all learners, but may be of greatest appeal to those with an interest in business, whether that be in developing an understanding of the modern business environment, and\/or finding out how and why people set up in business.
