Promoting Positive Behaviour
At Knightswood Secondary, our Promoting Positive Behaviour policy is built around our School Charter — Be kind, Give our best, Be honest, Respect others, Be responsible, Include everyone.
It sets out how we create a nurturing, rights-respecting environment where positive relationships, inclusion, and restorative approaches support every young person to reach their potential. The policy explains our staged support systems, classroom expectations, phone and referral procedures, and the recognition of pupils who demonstrate our shared values.

Learning and Teaching Policy
At Knightswood Secondary, high-quality learning and teaching underpin everything we do. Our policy, Succeeding with Seven, outlines seven key principles that shape our classrooms: Welcome, Ethos, Planning, Learning Intentions and Success Criteria, Differentiation, Digital Learning, and Assessment.
It reflects the voices of staff and pupils, promoting engaging lessons, inclusion, high expectations, and digital innovation. The policy supports teachers in planning effective learning experiences, ensuring every young person can learn, work, and succeed together.
