We are delighted to share that six pupils represented the school at the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Schools Ski Championships 2026<\/strong> held at Glasgow Ski & Snowboard Centre. This marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time the school has entered a ski racing team\u2014an exciting moment in our sporting history.<\/p>\n

Our team of Yi Cheng He<\/strong> (Arran), Aniela Smith<\/strong> (Mull), Elodie Smith<\/strong> (Lewis), Reece O\u2019Leary<\/strong> (Arran), Fergus Munro<\/strong> (Lewis) and Nevan Strain-Durnion<\/strong> (Arran) competed against 16 schools from across the region. Many of the other schools had experienced ski racers, while several of our pupils were taking part in ski racing for the very first time.<\/p>\n

Despite this, the team showed excellent enthusiasm, determination and team spirit throughout the event. Their efforts contributed to a strong overall performance, with the school finishing 6th place in the final standings.<\/p>\n

Beyond the results, the pupils were praised for their positive attitude and the enthusiastic support they gave each other and other competitors throughout the evening.<\/p>\n

We are extremely proud of how they represented the school in this inaugural event.<\/p>\n
