We really get that here at the BBC \u2013 how, for example, unless you\u2019ve had actually had a chance to see it, do you know that working in a creative, exciting media organisation, like ours, could be your dream job \u2026?\u00a0 And if you do already know it\u2019s your dream job, you might be wondering how you go about \u2018getting in\u2019!<\/p>\n<p>Whichever point you\u2019re at, our work taster programme could be the opportunity you need to help you with those next steps and decisions. You don\u2019t need any previous experience to apply, but you\u2019re going to get a great experience while you\u2019re with us! Our \u2018Get In\u2019 taster day is designed to help you find out a bit more about the variety of career paths on offer and give you a first-hand feel of what the BBC is like as a place to work in your local area.<\/p>\n<p>You will get the chance to spend the day with us at\u00a0<b>BBC Scotland\u00a0<\/b>and see in person what it\u2019s really like working in a media environment. It\u2019s also an opportunity find out about a variety of jobs across the BBC, and hear from people who do some of those roles in the area in and around where you live.<\/p>\n<p>If you like what you find, we hope you might consider one of our apprenticeships as the first step into your future media career. During your visit, we will show you what a BBC apprenticeship looks like and we\u2019ll talk about the other opportunities open to you and walk you through the application process.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re all really excited about finding bright new talent to work at the BBC. We\u2019d love to hear from you!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/BAWx8EyBq4g\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/BAWx8EyBq4g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">&#8216;BBC &#8211; Where Next&#8217; film<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The BBC \u2018Get In\u2019 Team, will be at\u00a0<b>BBC Scotland<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Pacific Quay, Pacific Drive, Glasgow, G51 1DA , on Wednesday 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0October 2025.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For your chance to join us,\u00a0<b>please apply by midnight on Sunday 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Oct 2025.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to apply\u2026<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>You need to be currently in school or college\u00a0<b>Year S6 (Aged 17 or 18 on 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0Oct)<\/b><\/li>\n<li>You\u00a0<b><u>must<\/u><\/b>\u00a0have full permission and consent from your parent \/ guardian to apply<\/li>\n<li>You will need to provide us with their details as we will need to contact them if you are selected to take part<\/li>\n<li>You\u00a0<b><u>must<\/u><\/b>\u00a0inform your school that you have applied and provide us with the name and contact details of a member of staff, as we will need to get in touch with\u00a0them<\/li>\n<li>You will need to be able to attend the Get In Programme in person. The location address is<b>\u00a0<\/b><b>BBC Scotland, Pacific Quay, Pacific Drive, Glasgow, G51 1DA .<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Your home address\u00a0<b>must\u00a0<\/b>be<b>\u00a0<\/b>within a\u00a0<b>1 hour<\/b>\u00a0commute of the BBC location<\/li>\n<li>The session will run from approximately 9:30am and you will need to be able to make your own way to the BBC base on the day. If you have concerns about travel, please still apply and we will discuss these with you.\u00a0We expect to be finished at approximately 3.30pm. (Please note, it may be slightly before or slightly after, depending on the activities across the afternoon).<\/li>\n<li>You must\u00a0<u>fully complete<\/u>\u00a0the application form in order to be considered<\/li>\n<li>Candidates will be chosen at random.
